Effective October 1, if you are driving on Virgina tags and you are a Maryland resident, Maryland is cracking down on improper registration. If you are in violation, MVA will send a letter outlining the policy and the violation. You will be fined $7 a day up to $420. If it is not corrected in 120 days, your vehicle could be towed, booted or impound.
